Philip specialises in all types of P&I and FDD matters, including complex charter party and bill of lading disputes, H&M Claims, Arbitration and Mediation on issues including dangerous cargoes, damage to hull, seaworthiness issues, unsafe port claims and speed and consumption claims.
Philip has a wide experience gained from working in leading specialist shipping law firms in London and Greece, as well as in-house in one of the leading P&I Associations.
Philip qualified as a Solicitor in 1993, has been a CEDR accredited Mediator since 2007 and is a Supporting Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on shipping law matters and has tutored Maritime Masters degree students at Northumbria University.
He has a working knowledge of French & German.
His interests include sailing / cruising (RYA Yacht Master), walking, skiiing and piano.

Amanda has a wide experience of general civil litigation work (having specialised in clinical negligence) both at the Bar and within a firm of solicitors.
Amanda handles P&I and FD&D claims.
Following Bar School, Amanda undertook pupillage with Chambers at 4 King’s Bench Walk, London.
Subsequently she specialised in clinical negligence law at Wolferstans, Plymouth.
For 18 months, Amanda worked for Kalimbassieris Maritime, Piraeus with principal responsibility for the Romanian and Bulgarian offices.
Amanda has a working knowledge of French and Greek.
